I needed some winter birthday cards and thought this scene would do nicely.
I sponged my night sky with my make-up brushes. They are wonderful for sponging. The large tree was stamped and the spiny trees are die cuts. The deer are also die cuts and colored with Copics.
I splattered on the snow with a toothbrush and Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White. I used a white Jelly Roll pen for the white on the belly of the deer and the snow on them was also made with the same pen.

This is a standout card, Brenda. And perfect guy card. The sky is just lovely, you inspire me to experiement more. That stately tree trunk and the spiny trees each unique...reminds me of driving through one of our forest burns and the skeleton trees guarding all the seedlings that come after.
I’ll look forward to other creations celebrating guys..

Love your winter scene Brenda! That sky is so softly done. I really need to get some makeup brushes and try them out. I too love the scale of your giant tree. I visited the west coast many years ago and was blown away by the redwoods. Love your deer dressed in snow!
