So funny story! Our son goes to a small church where he attends college. The pastor's wife recently had a baby and so my husband and I wanted to do a little something for them as they have been so good to our son. I bought the gift and decided it would be fun to use this week's IC683 as my inspiration for a baby card. Julie has chosen a huge site to inspire us this week so I went searching for baby inspiration. I fell in love with THIS baby room.
I used the Rough around the Edges stamp then turned the paper so that I would have a diagonal border in yummy limon. I loved the navy in the baby's room so I added a thin navy border and a navy flower for momma's feathered head.
Then I showed the card to my son and confirmed that the new baby was a boy. Ha! Nope their first child is a boy and the new baby is a girl! Oops! I still had THIS card in my stash so they will get a card with pink accents and this one will go in my stash!

Angie, this is such a precious card for your stash. But, I know the pink one you create will be just as adorable...plus you love working with pink.

fun story indeed, but a card for a new born is always useful, just don't forget you've got one in your stash that's often my problem!!
Your card is so cute with the little one looking up, I would like to know what he's thinking...

Thank goodness for stash! Such charming cards, both of them. I love that navy baby room. I have to admit, I miss having a baby in the family. when i had my two children, i had no idea what i was doing. when my grandchildren came, i realized how much i loved babies.
