I was needing a thank you card for some of my favorite people on the planet. We got to visit them on New Year's for lunch and stayed through dinner, too. The husband has a mustache and they just got a new espresso machine, so I thought these guys would be perfect. So, I new I wanted to try to incorporate the colors from the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #43 - Wonderful Winter. https://www.lawnfawnatics.com/challe...nderful-winter
Someone had posted some tags with one of Lawn Fawn's pastel plaids. I even made a trip to my local SB store, but they didn't have any. So sad. So right before I went to bed last night I remembered a card I pinned at the beginning of the Christmas season with a homemade plaid on it. http://blog.averyelle.com/2018/10/qu...eek-day-4.html
So, I went for it. I used 2 pieces of Post It note tape and just kept moving them around and sponging with the three different colors. I was really happy with the results, just wished it didn't take so long. I also did a little bit of paper piecing for the mugs. I stamped them on the CS and white. I colored in the tops with Copics and cut that part out. I also cut out the little white part on the handle. I adhered both pieces of white to the CS mugs. This was a bit of a labor of love, but they are worth it.
