This new year I wanted to try incorporating several challenges into one card.
This card works for the Color Challenge CC720, however, I didn't have the exact colors but used Altenew inks which were pretty close. The purple faded a bit on the watercolor paper. I added the dessert challenge: a ribbon.
Also, I tried a technique new to me for TLC723, embossing folder stamping. It was fun, took me several tries using water for spritzing: too much then too little!
The teapot challenge MMTPT54 required that you use at least 4 "Happy New Years" letters to represent things on your card:
H = Happy
E = Embossing Folder Stamping (new for me)
Y = Yellow butterflies
R = ribbon
N = new inks
W = wings
I created my background first with the eb stamping. I added a ribbon and glued it onto blue-green card stock. Then, stamped the butterflies and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I curled the wings with a pencil and popped the butterflies up on background. I stamped my saying and layered on purple.

The ribbon is such a perfect match for the purple ink and looks great. So does the soft background. I remember when I first tried this I found it easier to control the amount of ink flow by spritzing the paper rather than the inked folder. Your butterflies are beauties.

Never give up try try again is card making motto---nice to get it into several challenges, this came out so cute as like the purple ribbon pulls in your purple inks as do the butterflies in the other colors of your background---neat card.
