I got a pile of white cut scaps together and did my smash ink backgrounds. On most I added stamped textures or stamps onto it in some of the colors I used. I stamped the cottage rose stamp from Hero Arts, which I just love on each of these. Some I left uncolored, and some I colored with colored pencils or alcohol markers. I have made these to complete some orders I have had on thank you notes. I used up those half sheets of card stock pieces I had cut for other cards, so it also helped me use up scraps from my cutting table. I really liked the ways these turned out and I haven't done this kind of stamping for fun since before Christmas. Although I did have a purpose, they were of my own choices for designs and I love designing different cards and not mass kinds. I also have a great time using a favorite stamp on each of them but in different layouts and colors. Then I don't have to get out great numbers of stamps either. I have taken most of my sentiments from my old SU sets off the wood, and have organized them in DVD boxes by thank yous, birthdays, thinking of you, sympathy, etc. I have found this to be such a time saver for me and not having to hunt down clam shell boxes. They also stack on my bookshelves with less space. My new year's resolution is to get all of my rubber off the wood. I prefer to keep old stamps, but want to use less space in their storage.
Have a great new year and hope you all make more time for stamping as part of your goals for the year.
