| | I made this card for this week's Featured Stamper Challenge. I have been a big fan of Melody's (lacyquilter) for years now. I really had a hard time deciding on which card to make because there are so many, but I seemed to keep coming back to this one and I am so glad I did because it allowed me to use my new Jingle All the Way Die: DEC18VSNA I heard the bells by lacyquilter at Splitcoaststampers. The bells were punched out, sponged with gold Delicata ink, then clear wink of stella was added over the top of the sponging. I added the 2-step stamped pine boughs because I wanted this to look like the bells were hanging from a Christmas tree. The middle bell is slightly off kilter to show movement. Do you remember the line in the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life" where the little girls says to her dad, "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets it's wings!" That is what I was going for here. This card also qualifies for the Alphabet challenge for the letter P for Pine boughs. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing art work with us Melody. You are a huge inspiration to so many of us. ~Karen. |
