I thought I'd put a self portrait on the front of this card. Oh, really, you don't think this is me?
I cut her out of a pattern that I bought at Goodwill. It was hard to find patterns with full figures, so many had images on top of images. My stamp has a face also (a friend cleaned out her stamps and I inherited this one). One of my favorite songs of all time is Carole King's 'You've Got a Friend.' When I went to NYC last April, I was lucky enough to see 'Beautiful', the story of Ms. King's life. I was laughing, crying and (in my head) singing along. I played her album 'Tapestry' to death, still have it.

Ha, it sure doesn't look like your avatar - which always intrigues me, BTW. That's funny, I think most of the patterns I have do show full length figures, but then I tend to buy dress patterns or skirts and tops. But I don't think I've ever bought one that had a photo rather than a sketch. I really like your face stamp too - nice "inheritance".

That face stamp is pretty cool...kind of reminds me of Carole King (the hair)..I like how you used your pattern front on this. Old patterns are fun to use on cards and another source of "medium". Fun card and I, too, loved Tapestry...still listen to those songs,,classics (like you and I?).

Clever use of the pattern envelope for your card. I like that stamped image, too - big, curly hair like Carol : ). My bff played that album constantly back in the day. She even recorded herself singing along with it and sent it to her brother who was serving in Viet Nam at the time : )
