Today's MIX challenge highlights faces. I went with a vintage stamp that features seven faces. I made my background by first swiping on 4 different colors of acrylic paint using an old gift card. I also added some swipes of gesso using the edge of the card. When this was dry, I stenciled DO inks on top of the acrylic. The kids were colored with copics and twinkling H2Os. I popped them up and used a white pen to outline them so they would show off more.

I had forgotten about paint swiping, then again I forgot to take the meat out of the freezer this morning. I digress, Pol you already know that I love this card - super creative background, an old book page (in German no less) and a gorgeous vintage image coloured beautifully. I love how you bring these images to life and give them a home!

I like your idea for this challenge, Polly! Your vintage style card is just fabulous, your acrylic paint/gesso bg looks amazing, wonderful colouring, and I do love your sweet little children!

Great vintage image and fussy cutting Polly. The book page works perfect for a layering too. I have an old book that I am slowly using pages out of for cards. Thankfully it has lots of pages so hopefully I won't run out any time soon. Super challenge today.

Your background is full of interest and that image is just so sweet. I love the way you've colored the children and outlining in white is a great touch. Wonderful sentiment!

Wonderful sentiment and having vintage small folk on your card is certainly in your wheelhouse, Polly. Your vintage-inspired cards are always so cleverly and well done.
