I struggle with construction; I always need to see a video or do it with someone. So I watched a video on YouTube to make this gap card. I knew I had the bottom sentiment about bridges and walls and thought,' well, that's serendipity.' Club Scrap has always seemed ahead of the game with philosophical stamps and, back in the day, I never would have guessed I'd use a stamp with a quote by Angela Davis! I used all sorts of stamps in black ink that I felt matched what I wanted to say. Please check out the inside; there are a bunch more stamps. I especially like the one about reflections, stamped on a shiny paper. When we look in the 'mirror', are we happy with what we see, not on the outside but on the inside? What we do is a reflection of who we are as a human being. May we all be better humans.
My goal is to use more decorative paper (isn't that all of ours??????). Susan (One4joy) told me she is in a 40 some (or maybe it was 90 some) step program for paper addiction. I'm in a 1000 step program.

What a wonderful philosophical card. Whatever about the paper addiction (and I was VERY good and used some paper Susan sent me to make a tree ornament for my sister), the quotes on this are very "Susan" too; like you she has a great collection of challenging and thought-provoking sentiments. The postage stamp shape makes a fab bridge.
p.s - the bridge card technique is wonderful for using up/using DP. I guess I need to make more of them.

What an interesting card full of wonderful elements...that handshake or is it more of a hand holding is really cool as your middle panel. I bet you had fun choosing all those different stamps. I, too, need a 1000 step program on dp...I don't want to think how much I have....it'll astound me if I do..

Love your mix of collage style stamps on your gap card, Jean, wonderful! We can ALL relate to the addiction to dp, you're right! For this challenge I remembered I had a heap of Japanese papers not seen the light of day for years~

What a cool card. (Fun fact about Angela Davis -- she had more merit badges than any other Girl Scout in Alabama, according to a daily trivia column from the Associated Press that I edited many years ago when I was working at a newspaper in Birmingham.)

This one I had to ponder as it is so rich with those sentiments. And yes, it would surprise me also about the Angela Davis quote...like Sandy said in her comment...I think I need to check out more real truth about AD. Because of you, I caught the Club Scrap appreciation. Good thing there is lots of it on the 'bay.
Your card has me wanting to check out the video. Clever, very clever challenge card. I'd certainly appreciate receiving this.
And I did receive this in a TeaPot swap. So, so much better in person...lucky me!
