I immediately thought of this covered bridge when I saw the Teaparty challenge. I stamped the bridge on kraft paper and aged it with distress inks. I added some cheesecloth that had been dyed with distress inks. I painted the little bird and covered it with glossy accents. That's about it. TFL!

How beautiful, Polly. So many details to look at and enjoy. I really like the idea of colouring the cheesecloth, it adds to the soft vintage look. And the pop of the little red bird is fantastic, even more so with the gloss.

I adore covered bridges Polly and this vintage card showcases a covered bridge magnificently! I love the beautiful red bird and your fabulous sent, but my heart went pitter patter over the cheese cloth- wow! I adore the way you designed this card! Merry Christmas to you Polly! ~Karen.

i just bought myself a bird feeder so i hope to see some red birds soon. i love everything about this card. on sunday mornings, before CBS sunday morning, we have a local show that is a similar format and they highlighted a wonderful covered bridge somewhere around here that is the entrance to a Christmas tree farm. many wonderful pictures of people carrying their tree, standing with their families, even proposing marriage.
