does this ever jump off the gallery stroll! I love it! Your eye has to linger over the card to capture all the exquisite details. The scale of your ghost cardinal with the sentiment panel is perfect. And those staples!!!
Well done, Jean

I was so enraptured with the alcohol ink background that I didn't see the cardinal at first glance. What a cool technique with the lift ink, and a perfectly wonderful image that you chose.

I think this is a card that the recipient will continue to twist and turn in the light to see all the amazing details! I love the ghost cardinal immersed in the yummy ink background. The gilding and sentiment have just enough presence but the bird is king!

This inspires me to have another go with my Lift-Ink, I wasn't so happy with my first attempt. Cardinals are one of the North American birds that I hope to see in real life one day. After my mother left France she emigrated to Canada where age had family, and many of the Christmas cards we received from there had cardinals on them, which totally fascinated me as a child because they seemed so foreign and exotic.
The gilding flakes look fab, especially the bit I can see on the red.
