I started by sponging with 3 wax crayons tissue and odorless white spirit to make the base colors, then wrinkled a cling wrap over a stamping block and added memento bahama blue and stamped on the base, used toffee crunch for the center, then stamped the owl (a gift) with 3 colors stazOn ink and stamped the sentiment, added the sequins and glued onto a navy blue base.
I used water color paper for the wax crayon sponging to keep the colors as bright as possible.
In the center of the eyes I glued tiny little left overs from the sequins.

You certainly did a great job with the background, Anita. And, I love that owl...looks very wise. I don't think I have seen him before.

my family loves owls (well all birds, really) and he is a spectacular image. The background is amazing. I'd really like to know how you use wax crayon and the spirits.
