This is one of a group of cards for today's Free for All Challenge to add our holiday cards. This card started with an old sample card that I had gotten in trade at convention one year. The A2 card had a background with different stamp pads used direct to paper to create an interesting background. Then there were five of this snowman image stamped on in, two in brilliant blue ink and three white embossed. I cut this panel into five pieces with a snowman in each piece. The panel on this card was rectangular. I stamped a greeting then I added chalk pen to the snowman and colored the scarf and hat with colored pencils. I had a couple of found pieces in my scarp folders with the embossed background and the punched heart border. I layered these up and added glitter and punched snowflakes and added some rhinestones. I still have unopened packages of these old card stock colors which makes me very happy because it is easy to match these older remade samples up with a new folded card base.

Great way to make an older card sample into completely new cards. I still have the set with that cute snowman and it's fun to see that vibrant retired blue on your card.

How fun to see an old (and much loved!) snowman image used on an updated card! That’s neat that you raided your old stash for samples and then cut, reworked and totally re-thought how to use the pieces on cards. Nicely done! TFS
