Each year I mass-produce my holiday card (60 total). I generally start in October so I can work on it in bits and pieces and not feel overwhelmed. It may sound strange but I find that I get into an almost meditative state reproducing each element of the card 60 times. Once all the elements are completed, I assemble the cards 10 at a time - it's almost magical seeing the transformation from bits and pieces to completed cards.
One of my home's most attractive feature is the large front porch so I tried to re-create that somewhat for this year's card. The photo was an impromptu decision (to make the card interactive) when my daughter was visiting. Had I thought it out, I would have had her take a photo of three of us inside our foyer. But I still love how the cards turned out!

They are so magical!! to find your picture opening the door is so clever!! beautiful traditional colors make these cards cozy and warm, I understand making 60 cards you didn't find time to use the broom...

I too, used to assembly line 60 cards for Christmas - with postage rising every year (and a lot of mine going to Europe & Asia) I've cut back to about 40. Love the spackled look on the green walls and with the embellishments you used this could easily be construed as the indoors looking out on cherished friends arriving for a visit.
