I love the soft look of this cling wrap technique for the background; it was the perfect complement for this wonderful tub of lavender. For an image like this, I use the water brush more liberally to look more like it was actually painted with watercolors.

Oh, what a beautiful planter full of lavender. I wish I could smell it! The soft ribbon is perfect with it, and so is the gentle texture in the background, which reminds me of the big lavender fields we have seen in France, when you see them from a distance and it's just a soft green haze.

Into my favs the second I spotted this card in your gallery!!!! Love, love, love that handsome tub of lavender and the way you watercolored it. You are right, the cling wrap background is the perfect subtle complement to your lovely image. TFS!
