This month's new Fan Club/Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge is an easy one and just what "the doctor ordered" for me. Perhaps you also might need more Christmas cards as the time fast approaches. If so, this month's challenge is for you. This card is embarrassingly CAS (yes, that ought to be a category, don't you think? - ha!). However, it sure was good for me to crank out all these cards. I read and watched the great tutorial by Lisa Foster this week about assembly line stamping and did that myself. Thanks, Lisa!
Less than two weeks ago, my DH decided it was time for a total knee replacement surgery. Lots of things factored into the decision, but needless to say, we are hustling as the surgery is in mid-December. God is so gracious in providing us with a wonderful surgeon and hospital, and we are looking forward to the other side of surgery.
I was inspired by this beautiful table runner. Love the simple red on white toile with the scalloped edges.
I used one of Marcella Hawley's beautiful stamp sets that truly shines with all the intricate details of this poinsettia. PTI's Pure Poppy ink worked well to stamp all the fine details of the image, and then I used a beautiful sentiment from WPlus9 Designs. I added the simple scalloped die and mounted it on the card base. While I kept thinking I should add more, I needed to stop and realize that I can only do so much. The clock is ticking! I hope you'll join us this month for a very special challenge that Stacy has given us. Thanks, Stacy! You are amazing!
And thanks, Julie, for a fabulous Inspiration Challenge website! I could get lost in it and be inspired by so many of the wonderful things on Joss & Main!
Thank you ever so much for taking a closer look at my card! Hope you like it, and I hope you have a great weekend. Can you believe it's December already? Sending hugs and love to all! xoxo

Cheryl, that is a beautiful poinsettia! It is nice to be able to find a design to get several cards made in a short period of time!
I need to do that today, short on cards!
Love your gorgeous card!

CAS, yes, but also beautiful, Cheryl! Love the red & white image w/ the tiny red scallop border showing. Good luck on your surgery & prayers for a speedy recovery!

Simply gorgeous! Love the clean elegance and red and white is a favorite combo of mine. Beautiful work, as always, my friend.
Will keep your husband in my prayers for a very successful surgery and a very quick recovery process. My sister had this done this past year and is so glad she did.

Did you say embarrassingly CAS??? These are so gorgeous and not another thing needed. The scallops added so much and I love all the red.
You know your DH is in my prayers, along with you as the surgery approaches and beyond. It will be over before you know it and brighter days ahead.

what a gorgeous stamp Cheryl! The detail is so lovely that it is perfect for a CAS design - just stamp it and frame it! How wonderful you created a whole pile of them - quick, simple - and beautiful! Wishing your DH the best with his surgery. My DH has had one knee, one hip and two shoulders replaced over the past 4 years..... hopefully we are done with that!

Great job turning out 8 classy and professional looking Christmas cards! I need to do the same thing myself and we have a trip to Chicago next week that is leaving me short on time!
Your cards are outstanding! Best wishes to your DH with his knee replacement; my husband is scheduling the same for the Spring.

Gorgeous cards, Cheryl. I am so impressed you did so many of them. I will be doing the same tomorrow if I feel up to it - a sinus infection for several weeks has taken my Mojo. I definitely will be praying for you and your hubby over the next few weeks - just think of how wonderful it will be when he heals. Many, many hugz. Great cards!!!!
