A funny thing happened as I made my card. I thought I splattered on masking fluid for the falling snow. When dry, I sponged my ink for the sky and then I tried to rub off the masking fluid with my fingers to reveal all the snow. It would not come off and I was mystified. I thought I would ruin the card but got a wet paper towel and decided to try to rub it. It came off like a charm and revealed this wonderful snowfall. I looked up and saw I was using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White which is an opaque watercolor instead of masking fluid. Duh!!!! Where was my mind? But, I got the same results and I'm happy. I sometimes use it for snow, anyway. So, then I just splattered it on the tree. So glad I didn't have to start the card over.
Made a template for the snowbanks and sponged. Stamped the background trees.
The Christmas tree with the star was die cut with white cardstock twice and then with the plaid which I taped onto the white.
The gold star was a die cut and colored with metallic rub (with my fingers).

I love this beautiful plaid Christmas tree and it is even prettier than the one in the inspiration piece. It looks so perfect on your snowy background.

This is so in Keeping with your inspiration pillow! I love the plaid tree and edging (and wish I felt comfortable stepping out of the box to create something like this!) Maybe next year . . .
