Good morning! I hope yaâll had a fabulous Thanksgiving!
I needed a few birthday cards for upcoming birthdays, so decided to use some of my time off from work to make a set of four at once, with a few differences to individualize the cards a bit better for their intended recipients. The main difference is I used the deer for the masculine versions (hello Free For All 457 â thanks for the masculine inspiration!) and the polar bear for the feminine ones (please see my gallery for the other version of this card - though I think both are "masculine" cards anyhow!). :0) I went back a ways in the weekly SCS challenges for some inspiration, and found Color Challenge 712 from November 6th, which I thought was perfect for a design intended for both masculine and feminine recipients, as well as this precious stamp set I added to my collection this fall and havenât had the chance to use yet. ï
To keep the soft, winter-morning feel, I stamped my main panel as well as the wildlife on watercolor paper with Stazon ink, then used my SU ink pads and watercolor pens to paint the scene to my liking. I popped the animals, stars, and sentiment up with foam mounting tape before adding highlights with a gelly roll glitter pen (and Nuvo crystal drops on two versions) for some added pizzaz.
Thanks so much for looking, and once again, THANK YOU to our hostesses for helping get my creative juices flowing!
Blessings,
C

This is my favorite of the two but then I am partial to deer. Beautifully done and a great idea!!! I need to do more multiple cards when I make them. Hugz
