It's hard to see, but I was inspired by this dress. I kind of want one IRL. I made an alcohol ink background on Yupo and after it dried, I used my new Alcohol Lift-Ink that jacqueline convinced me to buy. I think this will be better with darker colors and a less intricate design. But, I like the barely there look of this one too! You can see the doily style stamps in the corners of the alcohol background. The cool thing is that after you lift up the alcohol ink then you can stamp it onto some plain cardstock. So you can see the doily design that I stamped behind my sentiment. My finishing touch today is a feather that came out of one of my pillows last night. I just thought it would be fun to put on a card. LOL!
Oh wow!!! That is so cool that you can stamp the lift design!!! I agree there are quite a few dresses on this site I would love! They are definitely statement makers! I love the colors on your card! Stunning!

Great job with your inspiration. Alcohol lift-it ink is great and so is your feather. Good idea to use it. Tell your hubby you want that dress for Christmas.

So bright & pretty, Jen! Your AI bg is wonderful & lol at the feather. Since I have parrots, we always have lots of feathers. I could probably stuff a few pillows w/ them.

Cool technique and yes, I can see the doilies on the bg and the sentiment. Who knew you could find an embellishment literally while you were sleeping...

That is a cool technique and now another product I might have to have! I see the pattern from the doily and I love the look of the dress as well. although I would be referring to Susan's story if I tried to wear it!

I am a total sucker for those kinds of patterns, I think the colors translated beautifully Jen, and if you cave and buy that gown I really want to see a happy smilin' face of you wearing it someday.
