I am home due to a snow day, so I decided to play in the technique challenge. As I started out, I hadn't intended to also enter the color challenge but then realized I was pretty much spot on for the colors and just had to incorporate the blue. That stumped me for a bit, and then decided to die cut the sentiment from vellum that I colored with a marker. Please excuse the sentiment that looks a little wonky, it was sticking to my fingers as I was placing it and I was afraid of tearing it, so it took hold before I could adjust it.

So this is what I had in mind when I picked this week's colors! I adore the burst of yellow--so bright and cheerful! I love the colored vellum; I've never tried that, but must! Beautiful card!

Wow, Julie! What a stunning card. I love the awesome yellow flower and you did a remarkable job of water coloring it. The vellum sentiment is beautiful and looks great.

Your watercoloring is wonderful, that flower just pops in the gallery! I like the effect of the colored vellum for your sentiment, and quite honestly if you hadn't said anything about it being a little wonky, I was so taken with your watercolored image I didn't even notice. Gorgeous card!
