Today's challenge was to use blocks of color . . .sounds easy enough . . .
I started by stamping my old shadow block across the card in autumn colors - so far so good! Then I pulled out an old WOODEN Thanksgiving sentiment (it says copyright 1995) This won't work in my Misti but I do still have a stamp-a-ma-jig so no problem, right? Inked up my stamp, got it aligned, pressed down - lifted and OH CR*P - the center part looked great but NOTHING printed in either the orange or green blocks. Now, I do not consider myself artistic in any way, shape or form but by the same token it kills me to throw out an almost completed project gone awry - so I grabbed a black sharpie and painstakingly hand drew all the missing parts - it's certainly not perfect but I don't think the recipient will notice. Finished with a trio of itty bitty gold stars.
Update: - I knew I was missing something I had intended for this card but my memory didn't "jog" until I saw Jennifrann's card - then realized the raffia was still laying right where I left it! After some deep thought, I decided to finish this the way I had originally planned and retook my pic -

We always notice stuff others don't. Like, to me, no one ever has a bad hair day. I'm fretting a whole week before my next haircut. Anywho this is very pretty.

You did a terrific job, it looks beautiful. I would have quit and threw it out so good for you!!!. I remove the rubber stamps from the wooden blocks so that I can use them in my Misti. Works great.

That is what I call a good save Linda, a great card for Thanksgiving. I too removed the stamps from their wooden blocks on all of my wood stamps so they work in my Misti.

You did a great job on that lettering. I have to do this more times that I like. I guess it is time for me unmount my rubber from the wood. MISTI does make this an easier process, but many of my sentiments are still on wood.
