Here's challenge #2, Holidays with Little Women. Kim (berylcece) asked us to go vintage with elements to invoke the family at Christmastide. How many of us loved reading Little Women (and Little Men) as children? I know I treasure sharing these books with my boys.
For Kim's challenge and mine for using just the one stamp for all VSN mini's, I decided to make the 'Joy Tree' a beautiful turquoise on acetate. It was laid over part of the page from the book that tells of the sisters waking up on Christmas morn to find little books under their pillows. I highlighted the message of Christmas the mother had written in each of the sisters books.
A banner made from vintage sheet music was placed on the top. Layered a dark red cs under my main panel. And the 'jingle bell' brads were place at the corners.
Thank you Kim, for reminding me of a beloved book from childhood. Come out 'coasters and check out the VSN 'Holiday Stories'...there is more fun to be had Dec 14 and 15 when it is the main event. Treat yourself by crafting in several or better yet, all of the challenges...just think how much getting inky will wipe all that Christmas stress and tension away...

Wow this is so clever. I especially love how you've chosen an appropriate page and have the tree overlay...awesome. TFS. Happy day
