As I started to look through Nicole's gallery, I was thinking, 'oh this is very nice, very nice, very nice.' But then as I went further, I realized she has a wonderful collage-y, distressed style and I saw more and more that were more than 'very nice.' I had a hard time choosing one, but this was it: one of a kind by cnsteele at Splitcoaststampers
I may have to do more, we'll see, I always say that and then don't get back to it. I think my tree is IO. I kept things simple, like hers, but different tree, background, no embellishment. The tree is the most important. Yesterday would have been my brother's 57th birthday, tomorrow would be my mother's 91st. The Edmund Fitzgerald sank yesterday in history and Armistice Day is today. We all have folks to remember. I've used this for a sympathy card also.

How pretty, Jean! Love that big Mehndi style tree (I agree it's prob IO, I have another image w/ very similar style). Love all the soft colors in the bg.

You water colored that and got that perfect gradient? Wow, Jean, this is so pretty and love the unique tree you chose for this. This is a perfect take on her card.

A creation that has a deeper meaning is always so interesting to me. Your watercolored background captures exactly the mood of what you want your card to express. Having that one word sentiment underneath the tree is so powerful. Thank you for using my card as inspiration.
