Fun IC site this week - they are always so inspirational. I needed a baby shower card. I was giving a gift card so I could make this card chunky, wrap it in tissue paper, and stick it in a bag (she loved the card by the way).
I started the card yesterday at 4:00AM die cutting the star and coating it in glitter glue. I let it dry while I went to work for a few hours. Then I came home and had 15 minutes to finish it before I had to run to the shower. I took some Snow text and flecked it on the kraft paper. I got a giant blob on the bottom and wiped it off. Of course, it smeared. So then, all the edges got the same treatment since there was no time. Twisted some wire around my finger and looped it in the star and added some beads. Stamped and cut the sentiment. No more time so it was done.
Super fun to make a card in a hurry like this - you know it doesn't matter what happens - you have to go with it. A stamping adventure.

Nancy! I TOO LOVE what you've done with this! It makes me think of brown paper bags & tissue paper, trying to keep things healthy & simple when it comes to babies. We can get so stressed out in the process making cards! I think this would also make a FABULOUS Christmas Card! LOVE your inspiration, you did well with it! Also, INKY HUGS for coming over to visit! You ALWAYS light my gallery up with your presence! ;)

Sounds like a lot of my card-making experiences. Time is short so whatever happens, happens. Seems like your giant blob was a happy accident because I quite like the 'smeared' edges. Hugz to you. :-)

I LOVE this, Nancy! Amazing that you had so little time and still turned out this amazing, creative mixed media card. How fun this one is. Love the texture, sparkle and yep, even the spatter. Brillian!
