"At this festive season of the year, Mr. Scrooge, it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the poor and destitute....many thousands are in want of common comforts, sir."
My creation today is all about warmth. Woven cloth, fleece, yarn, a cup of something hot, the word 'warm.'
The woven blue piece is a coaster from a set I bought at a flea market, maybe mid century? I don't know where I got the fleece but must have decided to save it. Otherwise I used wintry stamps and the background paper is an alcohol ink marbling piece, very pale blues and some metallics.
I don't like to be too warm so I often crack a window in the winter, I keep my heat down but I use an electric heater in my computer room (running right now) and an electric blanket to watch tv. But I'm so grateful to have the comforts of a home and blankets and the means to buy those nice warm things. I'm sorry, Sabrina, I don't have a Linus but this is a mostly blue card. Hope that will do.

Now, that really looks warm all over. It's a wonderful wintry card. Cracked window....I would freeze to death. Ha

Warmth is a good word to describe your card! The pieces of fleece, woven cloth, and yarn are great for the challenge! Sounds like you prefer to be cold! I love being warm! LOL

I think if I'd looked at this before I went to get something to drink, I'd have made coffee. Even though it's just in the background I can almost smell the coffee and I can feel the cosiness: that blue fleece is beautiful. I really like fabric on cards. The knotted fibre around the two very different fabrics "ties" in so well with the sentiment, reinforcing it.

What a fun way to create the feeling of warmth on a card. Coffee, fleece - makes one want to snuggle up with a good book.
