This month is a rough one for me. It used to be rough financially because there were three birthdays, all before Thanksgiving. Now it's rough because they're not here: brother Bill, my Mom and my Dad. It's weird to go to the cemetery and see all November dates on the headstone. I still have the memories and love but I'd rather have the financial issue.
I have a couple of acorn stamps but didn't feel like using them, since everyone had such cute acorns and squirrels. My washi has oaks and acorns and I saved an old wine charm that had an acorn. The square piece is an artist piece, embossed and stenciled. Someone mentioned wire to me last week, wire I've had forever and I used that too.

I understand you would like to have financial troubles instead of this loss, I miss my dear angels too, I call them angels because I'm sure they keep an eye on me from heaven!!
I love your take on the challenge and this is lovely CAS, congrats with the favorite CAS card from last week!!
I thank you for sharing this. I too am experiencing this change after the passing of my mom in 2014. My family has just about disappeared. Her birthday was the day before mine and celebrating just isn't the same. I did family gatherings because she always wanted her family. They are no longer interested. I'm the last of family that had traditional family gatherings and it only reminds me how much I miss my mom. I'm encouraged to journal this time also - it's important not to act like it isn't a part of life - it is - and in generations to come, maybe someone will want to know what it was like.

Oh, I's so sorry for your losses. It does make the holidays so different. Wishing you peace. You've made a wonderful creation and I love copper. Your acorn charm and Washi are just perfect for the challenges.

An art journal card...and what a special one. All that blank space tells part of the story. The charm is just delightful but that textured copper stencilling combined with the leafy greens on the square is really wonderful.

Great stenciling and details and fun additions, Jean. Awesome memories remain, but they are a poor substitute. I lost my sister in November. It will never be the same for me either. Many hugz - extra ones in fact!
