Julie is the hostess for today's IC and she has chosen Christmas Central for our inspiration. I chose this ornament, https://www.christmascentral.com/4-w...e-bird-accent/. I started by smooshing DOX walnut stain and vintage photo. When it was dry, I stamped the bird image in white pigment ink. It isn't really visible, but I used a stylus to deboss the image on the stamped lines. My intention was to use kraft for the base, but I didn't like the results of the smooshed inks and it was pretty warped. So, I die cut with a Sizzix circle and decided to use natural ivory for the base layer. I thought of the Ways to use it challenge to use burlap and decided to go rustic. I stamped the trees in antique linen. The sentiment was stamped in Walnut Stain DOX and attached it to a piece of burlap.

I like the rustic look of your card! Unique look for the focal image, and I love how you carried the "shabby" theme through by inking your greeting panel. Tfs!

Super pretty card for both challenges. Lovely bird and I like the burlap behind the sentiment.

The bird stamped in white gives a great winter feel to this, it's a look I love. The soft trees in the background are like a misty winter day - what a lovely card.

Beautiful! That bird looks like an old sign that has been outside for decades - great look! I love the trees in the background. The font on your sentiment really suits the overall card. So nice!
