For the Teapot Tickle this week we had to use some lace on a card.
Inked up my latest Laurel Burch stamp and coloured the cup in to match as close as possible to the teapot inspiration. I then fussy cut the cat and teacup out - but forgot one important thing - I chopped off her whiskers!!! So I used my other whole image and pasted Puss over the top - so now the whiskers look like they are meant to be and Puss is happy again.
Going with the vintage feel of the paper - I die cut some lace and added it down the side of the card.
No chocolate chip biscuit for me - as there is no added brads or pearls/diamonds. Just as well - I could well do without the biscuit.
Its getting very late now so will upload this and yes - that is my bed I can hear calling me.
Hope you enjoy.

I knew that was a Laurel Birch...her designs are so cool! I love the colors you used on this...and they match up perfectly with your bg paper. Really cute card!

What a gorgeous card this is! I love this wonderful Laurel Burch design and I love that you persevered to make kitty complete with whiskers! That is a true artist right there! Your dsp is stunning and looks amazing with the colors you used so beautifully in your image. The bit of lace along the side is the purrfect finishing touch on this beautiful vintage-inspired card. ~Karen.

You have coloured this fabulous image so beautifully, Helen, and I love the gorgeous dp you have used with the lacy edge! FYI, thanks to your enabling, I have just received my first order from Desert Rose - I had to buy Snugglepot & Cuddlepie~

Things like whiskers are a pain for those of us who like precise fussy-cutting! I usually stamp my image on the base as well, to the same effect as what you did here. Great colouring, and a lovely choice of pretty floral DP to echo the flowers...and to look great with the lace edging.
