Jan is our hostess for this month's Tickle a Teapotter challenge when we send our cards to each other, and her Lacy Loveliness challenge can be found HERE.
If you know anyone who would enjoy receiving a card shower for support, encouragement or celebration, see the very bottom of the first post in the challenge thread for details of how to contact Jacqueline.
I started out by stamping my lace in white on kraft - and decided not to emboss it, for a softer look. Instead I just distressed the edges.
My poppy circle was stamped on watercolou rpaper and coloured with Inktense pencils, then sponged a bit over the background. There are Stickles all round the edge. The bird and banner are from PurpleOnion, but I excised the Thank You sentiment and used one from TCP instead. Also coloured with Inktense pencils, Enamel Accents for the red berries and SN clear glitter on the foliage. It's curved with some foam tape to raise the centre.
I added two strips of lace and a small piece of ball chain in between them, lying on my desk as a trimming from another project.
I added photo corners cut from a tomato paste tube and embossed in two corners, and flourishes in the other two. This was fun to make - thanks for an inspiring challenge, Jan.

Sabrina where do I even begin? Your lace bg is incredible! I love the lace you used behind your flowers which are colored beautifully. Along with your bird and sentiment -- I love the corner pieces you used on your beautiful card! Thank you for all the helpful things you do on SCS and for this challenge! You are irreplaceable!

Sabrina, Jan said so beautifully what my heart was thinking - where does one even begin. I would love to know what you are thinking when you sit down to make a card because I sure do love the end result of what I am admiring here. What a stunning card with these gorgeous red poppies encircled in lace on this antique lace bg. I have never seen trim like what you have used behind the flower image and it is so gorgeous. I love the hint of sparkle on the flower panel lace too. The scrolly corners and embossed copper corners draw your eye right to the gorgeous images on your card. This little bird is as tweet as tweet can be (pun intended!). You think of every possible detail, and then some, and it is all placed so purposefully for such a gorgeous card. This is such a WOW card my friend. ~Karen.

no need to heat emboss your lace as is really nice looking this way, more lace with the doily under your flower and neat extra of your bird, strip of lace and corner deco's with glitz and made from tomato paste cans---neat idea---great card.

I remember those little corner dies - the first ones I bought - he he. I have used them so many times too. Lots of lovely layers in this card and the little bird is just so cute too.
