It's a kind of dark and dreary day with the weather and I can't seem to get the colors to show well without creating the shadows on the card base. I'm so sorry!
This card was inspired by today's IC673 and yesterday's MIX300 and a desk scrap that had ink smooshing.
This fabric http://studioefabrics.net/fabric-lin...or-meadow-108/ was the basis (for the watercolors and garden theme) to create the panel that started as a smooshed ink background. I used a post it die cut mask of the fern and sponged inks around the mask. The bird was die cut from patterned paper. The sentiment was stamped in Ranger archival black. I sponged Worn Lipstick DOX around the edges and added Nuvo drops.

Such a wonderful background and I love the bird and that awesome fern that pops out in the lighter color.
