I wanted the sugar skull to look "sugary", so I used glitter paper to cut everything. Seriously finicky assembly (I had to walk away a few times), but I know my daughter will appreciate it...

I can see why you adjusted the number of skulls downwards, but my, it looks fantastic, and certainly sugary. I always regret that two catalogues from a sugar art exhibition my mother went to in Paris got lost somewhere in my moves. There were plenty of pieces like this.
