This is the first of three cards I have to make on commission and before I pack up my craft room. It's for a little girl turning six who loves purple and mermaids so Jodie Mackrell's Birthday Mermaid was perfect over on Bugaboo Stamps.
I had a quick check to see if it fitted any of this weeks challenges and it sure did.
This weeks Free 4 All Friday was to do what you liked best and I love colour particularly blending it and that's just what I have done first I printed the image then masked it with some X-Press It Masking Film, then I blended Distress Inks over the whole card, spritzed it with some water from a mini mister and once that was dry spritzed it again with home made glimmer mist made from Biscotti Perfect Pearls and water.
Once dry I peeled the mask off and coloured the image with Copic Markers, stamped the greeting and heat embossed it then stuck the foam six on.
I mounted the panel onto some craft foam and added that to the DP layer.
Once it was all together including the inside panel I added some Stickles and there you have it.
Thanks for looking
Cheers
Marg

Wonderful creation using the copics....the coloring is fantastic. I find them so difficult to use. Your image is perfect for the birthday gal. Love it. TFS

I just love everything about this adorable card, Marg. The bg is perfect and I really like that rich teal. The copic coloring on the mermaid is amazing. What a lucky little girl to get this fabulous card.
