I just found out that my backyard neighbor, Ben, passed away while I was out of town to see my mom. We had spent MANY years visiting over the fence as we both tended to our flower gardens so I knew his family would appreciate this very personalized sympathy card.
I stamped the can of sunflowers and colored with prismacolor pencils then sponged in some clouds. I stamped the tools on scrap stock then fussy cut so I could randomly scatter them throughout my little scene - like a man just called temporarily from his task. Finished with this old SU sentiment which definitely sums up Ben's life as I knew him.

Oh, I know you will miss the "over the fence" talks with your neighbor. I like how you scattered the tools about and the meaning of that. Great sentiment and I'm sure the family will love this card.

What a sweet card of remembrance! The words work perfectly on this card. I don't ever remember seeing/hearing them before, but they would work well on so many of the cards I'd send.
