I had the other half of my CC challenge card base sitting on my desk as well as a white panel which I had embossed this flower on for a card. So I thought why not color the flower with the challenge colors again. I did really like them a lot. After I got the flower done I was looking at the dies and thought I might put a green layer behind the scallops. But I had used the largest die to cut the flower panel. So I cut the next smallest panel which embosses stitch lines into the edge of the oval. I cut with a craft knife around the upper edges of the flower so I could lift it up and slide the green panel under the flower leaving the white border. The crushed curry DP had a label punched out of the corner but I liked the extra green it left at that corner. I decided to angle the oval and stamp my greeting across the top and add thin gold cord at the top of the DP. I love the way it turned out.

Neat work sliding that green layer in under the flower. The angled oval looks cool, it's not something I would think to do. And the warmth of the colours is lovely.

I like how it turned out too, lovely design and great coloring. I think the polka dot bg a perfect choice, they go so well with flowers, and the angle you placed the layer is a super idea...tfs..:0)
