I only have 4 colors of Oxide Inks and they aren't Halloween colors--so I made a sunrise. I did put Wink of Stella on the water so it would sparkle. Stamped the sentiment with undiluted Faded Jeans Oxide Ink then traced around it a bit with a journaling pen so it would show up.

Very nice sky for your egret and super way to work with what you have. (My colors weren't 'Halloween' either as I tend toward the bright and lights but adding a bit of frayed burlap over each layer helped tone them down) You got a lovely misty look in the center section like the dew lifting of your lake.

It's beautiful. I think the same technique should work with regular distress - I nearly tried that because I so missed not having chipped sapphire in my arsenal, I can't believe it was held till the last release. But - not being into Halloween, I think this peaceful morning scene is much more my cup of tea.
