I've been thinking about this card since the Piggy stamp set came out last year. I'm so glad it came out just as I had hoped. Thanks, as always, to Michelle Zindorf's stamping inspiration.
Tear post-it to mask snow along horizon. Place the circle post-it on the card front. Start with Soft Sky and sponge around the sun. Next use Marina Mist leaving a border of the Soft Sky. On the outside use Dapper Denim.
Remove the circle and stamp the mountains in Marina Mist. Place post it over the mountains in the sun, outline them in pencil and cut out a mask. Place the mask over the mountains and sponge the crushed curry. Then accent with More Mustard. Be careful not to get the yellow on the blue because that makes green. I took the original post-it I pulled the circle from and placed it over the blue back-ground so I could only color in the sun.
Remove all the post-its and add snow drifts with Marina Mist (use post-it masks). Stamp the piggy on scrap paper, color and cut out. I used a believe template I bought on-line from Reflections. Stampin up really needs to make some of these.
If you haven't used your Stamparatus, this is the perfect time to try it. If your stamp doesn't come out dark enough, you can re-ink and re-stamp as may times as you would like (I did with the mountains and sleigh).
Hope you have fun making this card. Thanks for looking! If you have a chance, leave a comment. I love to read them.
