Angie, thank you for inviting me to be a guest designer for the Redbubble IC this week. I had three tote bags bookmarked, this Go To The Library definitely had my name on it - and after Carla's recent gorgeous card using the background stamp, I had mine out on my "use me soon" pile.
Image stamped with black on white card and coloured with Polychromos pencils. I then, with my heart in my mouth, tried Susie's tip of brushing over with walnut stain to age it a bit. I die-cut the Imagine, and popped it up. (Had to tilt the card so you can see it, I added Glossy Accents to stop it being quite so eclipsed ;-)). Added a frame cut from Bazzill. Flopsy was stamped on light (90lb) watercolour paper and coloured with Prima watercolours because they were the easiest thing to bring downstairs to colour while I was cooking last night, and I knew there were good book colours. He has Glossy Accents on his spectacles.

I would love to be inside that card right now...your shelf of colorful (aged) books looks so inviting. I know what you mean about being hesitant to try the walnut stain over all your colored books...it turned out great! Little Flopsy with his glossy spectacles looks entranced by his reading material. This card is a gem.

Fabulous card, Sabrina. I love the bookcase full of wonderful reading. Flopsy looks as if he has settled in for a long day of reading. The aging looks great so Susie's tip was a good one, of course. Thanks for the great site you gave for the IC.

Amazing! Love the rows of beautifully colored books. The walnut stain looks fabulous. Love the eclipsed sentiment. Cute Flopsy with his spectacles. Great card! TFS

This is fabulous, Sabrina! I adore libraries & always read everything I could get my hands on. Well, except instruction manuals, lol. Those put me to sleep in under 5 min. I actually have a reallllllly old little Peter Rabbit book. My great-grandmother used to read it to me. It had been her son's when he was little.

What a fun card! I love the title of the books he's leaning on! Imagine is so deeply eclipsed and creates a magical background! My niece is a librarian and this would sure put a smile on her face, as it did mine!
Be still my heart!!!! I would embarrass you with all the adjectives that come to mind! I love this soooo much!! What a fabulous idea to have the word "imagine" so subtle!!! Isn't that what we do? We read and imagine we are in the scenes of often far away places and it's all in our imagination. Oh, I love this so much!

Wow, wow, wow!!!! This is so precious Sabrina. I love libraries and it looks like Flopsy does too. I don't have enough words to say how much I love this my friend.
