I often struggle with masculine cards and designing for a teen boy even more so . . . I had to find SOMETHING to jumpstart me on my grandson's birthday card which is fast approaching - Redbubble provided the perfect inspiration with this bag
I concentrated on the laid back attitude and the greens. I started with a stencil resist then did a smooshed ink over the top and finally ran it through my brick wall folder for a bit more texture. I ran across this teen boy digi that looks amazingly like my long lean grandson in his HS uniform so I colored him up with prismacolor pencils in his school colors. Fussy cut my image but found he kind of got lost in the bg so die cut some nesting stars from rust and maize dp to mount behind. Die cut individual letters & numbers for my sentiment and finished with a few emerald sequins because boys need some sparkle in their lives too.

Super cool card and I like that background....star, too. What a great image for your long, lean grandson. Bet he likes it.

Great inspiration choice, and a fab background from it. I like the combination of the grungy look with the brick texture, and I love the way you added the sequins to the star.
