This is my card for SC718. Diane is our hostess and she gave us a great layout to work into a card.
CAS is not a style that I am totally comfortable with so any help I can get I gladly accept. As I was looking through my Stampin'-Up Christmas designer paper I found a collection I wanted to use, but I didn't know the name, or the colors associated with it.
So that led me to last year's holiday catalog. Not only did I find the paper there was also a card that caught my eye. The layout was similar to this week's sketch, and with some minor tweaks I had a card. I am happy with how this one turned out.
The paper Christmas trees are part of the pattern of the Quilted Christmas dsp. I cut them out to use on my card. The felt tree is part of the Stampin'-Up stitched felt embellishments.
For the two circles that are part of Diane's sketch, I used a felt holly embellishment. I stamped my sentiment in garden green ink. Scattered a few small red dots for interest and a red star over the felt tree.
I used a basic stitch lines die for some added interest under my image panel.

Mary this is adorable!!! First I love the Christmas papers you used, and then to add felt holly and Christmas tree was an awesome touch!! Very pretty! It is so nice to be on the team with so many talented people such as yourself!

This has such an appealing, cozy feel to it, Mary. I love the triangle "trees" and that bit of gingham peeking out along the long layer. How did you attach the felt? I have some of those elements and can't figure out how to get them to stick to card stock!

Mary, this is such a pretty Christmas card with all the decorated trees looking a little bit different! Your stitched felt embellishments add nice texture~
