I made this card for 2 challenges this week. The first challenge is the Featured Stamper Challenge. I chose this wonderful card of Chrissy's as my inspiration card: MMTPT500 For Amazing Mary by DancesWithHooves at Splitcoaststampers. I love the soft stamping on the light woodgrain DSP. I have the die she used, but not those gorgeous flower stamps. I also needed to make a card for the letter M Alphabet Challenge so chose to use this Maple leaf die cut and combined the 2 challenges into a Fall theme instead. I absolutely adored the soft stamping Chrissy did on her card. I would never have thought to do this had I not seen this beautiful card of hers. I basically made this card several times over using different layouts and various dsp, but in the end, the simple inlaid design worked best. I have not been able to play much in the FS challenges this year so this was a real treat for me to do this. Chrissy, your gallery is gorgeous and I so enjoyed perusing it. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

I am in love with woodgrain lately and so glad you chose Chrissy's card to do this too. I just love the rustic look you gave this Maple Leaf design too and the little touches of orange on the tips. Way to go 2 challenges with this beauty, my friend. The e.f. in chocolate chip is so rich looking.
