It's been a LONG time since I managed to try a Weekly Inkling tutorial on the day it was posted. Last night I had left a die on my desk that I wanted to use, and I thought that the Drunken Watercolor Powders would make good kitties, so I made time to try it out. I have to say that while I know I used good glossy card and not photo paper, the alcohol dried on it very quickly. Might try again with Yupo...but I do like what I got and it did make good kitties. As far as I remember I used yellow ochre along with dark and light brown. I cut my die from it and then went looking in my stash for a suitable background. This clingwrap background worked well - it would also have been Brushos, with spray starch and acrylic shimmer spray. I masked the centre of the die off and stamped hardwood in gold over it, and embossed with gold. Then trimmed down slightly and edged the panel with a gold leafing pen before adding it to a star-embossed base. I added a little glitter star and a few white dots, and then decided it needed some sort of sentiment so added a little "Meow".

Sabrina, this is just adorable and very creative, also. I love the cling wrap background and all the gold. The kitties are just so cute I can hardly stand it.

I have that cat die sitting on my desk for some Halloween black cats but I love your sparkly gold tabby kitties gazing at the starry sky. Sweet!
