I loved creating backdrops with the Clearsnap Dyestress Ink pads. They blended BEAUTIFULLY on Bristol Smooth cardstock.
I loved blending the colors and then sprinkling with water. After allowing drops to sit cardstock surface, I would dab with a papertowel to "lift" the color. I'm a big fan of how the "lift" would reveal different hues - here the purples lifted to pink and white. Then blended with Graphite over the top to create the "galaxy" effect. When that layer dried, I sprinkled with drops of PH Martin's Titanium White - allow white to dry.
I have never been successful with distress inks and blending techniques. I would always have spots of intense ink where my foam first touched the paper. I was AMAZED at how beautifully this ink blended and smoothed out.
