I made this card for today's Teapot Tuesday challenge and for last week's Alphabet Challenge for the letter F (in my card the F means Floral and Fauna). Pat is our hostess for the Teapot Tuesday challenge and the theme is "A Friend in Need" and is for a fellow SCS friend. Unfortunately, my creativity went on vacation and did not bother to inform me when she is coming back (sigh) so I am struggling these days. I ended up going through the StampinUp catalog and found a sunflower card on page 139 of the current catalog that I used for today's inspiration. I substituted yellow roses instead of the sunflowers and I stamped the blue bg rather than water coloring it. Actually, I did water color a bg, but I did not care for it at all with the flower images I am using. The flowers and leaves all use 3 layers of stamping to achieve their look, then I fussy cut the roses and leaves out using a scissors. I was all done with the card when I decided to erase a little glue mark away from the bottom rose when disaster hit. I erased gently, but it still tore the paper away so the glue must have still been slightly wet. I could have cried! Well, it was an opportunity to embellish so I stamped these 2 little butterflies, colored them with alcohol markers, punched them out and they just covered the bare spots left from my erasing. Whew! Thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

I think your mo-jo is back...:0)...this is very pretty, LOVE the butterflies. I have done the same thing with erasing glue, it IS frustrating, but that just gives a reason to be more artsy...:0)....TY for letting us know ideas too as when we get in that situation we have an idea to do...pretty bg too...TFs..:0)

What gorgeous yellow roses, Karen! They are so pretty and no one would know your beautiful butterflies were an after thought to cover up a boo-boo. Butterflies and roses are meant to be together and look lovely on your beautiful card.

Beautiful soft stamped background, it looks like upmarket wallpaper. The roses are beautiful and oh my, I applaud your fussy-cutting skills . The butterflies may have been a needed addition but they look absolutely perfect.
