I'm very very late to the tea party for Carol (BobbiesGirl), but better late than never, right? Lisa challenged us to use something recycled on our cards. So I looked through my box of treasures and pulled out the dress from the Wedding Bear that my aunt and uncle gave me for being the flower girl in their wedding in 1986. I threw out the bear last year, but I kept that dress in case I needed some lace on a card. Pretty smart thinking! Of course, I'm not great at adding that kind of thing to a card, so it's a bit sloppy looking. That's why I thought I might as well use some staples too. I've combined this with Lisa's Ways to Use it challenge to use kraft (used in the background with my awesome new Passport Background stamp). And also combined with the September Power Poppy "Power & Spark" Challenge to "Hit the Books".

I just sent my card as well - my theory is that the enjoyment will be spread out over some time! This is such a pretty card to enjoy - brilliant to use those staples...and an idea for me to remember.

Such an adorable card with quite the story to tell. I have this Power Poppy stamp set and after seeing the colors you chose and how beautifully you colored it, I need to stamp this image. Thanks for sharing!

Jen, what a beautiful vintage and recycled card for Carol. Sorry to be so late in spotting it - I keep an eye on the challenge thread but there's no way of being notified for uploads to the gallery. Gorgeous colouring of that image - and the wedding bear, that sounds like a sweet idea. But I know - we can't hold onto everything forever and the lace sure looks great here.
