This is the second card I made for the Ways To Use It Challenge, WT707 - Kraft Card Stock - 7/27/18. The challenge was to use kraft card stock somewhere on your card....this Woodgrain texture card stock is the same color as my kraft cardstock so I decided it would probably qualify!
I wanted to try out some new dies that I ordered from China. I was totally blown away by the simple beauty of the deer in the forest and decided to keep the card design clean and uncluttered. The hemp twine is heavier cording than I usually choose, but I thought the rough texture was a nice contrast to the fine Woodgrain texture of the card stock. However, I soon found out that the twine made a cumbersome knot that was hideous, so I covered it with a banner tag from my discard pile. A couple of pine branches tucked under the tag helped hide the dimensionals and gave the card a wintery feel.
It was kind of you to stop by and look at my Deer in the Forest. Many thanks!

Wow, super die - and fab texture added to it too. This makes me think of our local park with its herd of deer. The little evergreen sprigs look super on the woodgrain.

What a great looking card! Love the deer die cut from the kraft color! I have been skeptical about ordering from China but you have a fabulous die here!

I love what you did with the bright red tag and greenery - better than a lumpy knot any old day! Amazing detail in that die cut and all your "earthy" elements go together so well!!
