When the Double Triangle Fold technique was posted a few weeks ago for TLC703, I was bursting with excitement to give it a try! Usually, I'm not one to jump in and try new techniques, as they take so.much.time for me to figure out! But this one looked so simple, unique, and fun - and it proved to be all of that and more! I think I'll keep this technique in my back pocket and pull it out again many times over in the future!
I wanted to make a simple card for my husband, and thought he might get a kick out of the unique fold in the card. I also wanted to use my Acorny Thank You set, which I purchased from another SCSer last year but didn't get to use before the season was up. And when I saw CC705 for this past week ("Softly Bursting Pools"), I knew I had just the ticket to meld my ideas together and get started!
Since this cool fold actually creates two card bases, I also made a second version of the card that, though similar, is generic enough to work as a thank you, friendship, thinking of you, or almost-anything card for my stash. (Please see my gallery for that card, as well as inside shots of both cards)
Thanks so much for the great fun and inspiration! I had loads of fun creating this card for my awesome husband, and I hope when it surprises him in the mailbox next week, he feels both surprised and extra-special (because he is!!!).
Thanks for looking!
Blessings, C

Love this! Into my faves. Loved what you said about new techniques as I am in the same boat a lot of the time. I sure do like your birch tree e.f. and lovely autumn embellishment!

This is just fantastic and is great in that is works for a man or a woman. You hubby is sure to love this terrific card with the fun fold you did on this. I love how well these nontraditional fall colors work with this fall-themed card. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration and for your enthusiasm in trying something new too! ~Karen.
