I will freely admit that I struggled with Cathy's Monogram It! WTUI challenge this week. I meant to try again and make a card as I do still have a larger chipboard set of letters. But the idea did work well for making a customised tag which has the washing care instructions for a baby blanket I just finished up knitting on the back - a bit slow. I got back a photo showing Ayla Olivia lying on her new blanket with an "I am two months old today" card beside her...At least you can't grow out of a blanket.
For the tag, I used a Sizzix Bigz die and cut it twice, once from cream card for the back, once from pink for the front which I embossed with the knit ef. I added a little strip of grass and my Pun Fun sheep, the baby's initials cut from a scrap of Serendipity background and two little holographic butterflies. Edged the tag with Stickles and coated the letters with clear Stickles, and when dry added the big eyelet and some coordinating fibres.

What a great idea to emboss your monogramed tag with that cable knit stitch...just perfect for the baby blanket instructions as well as for this challenge! Thanks so much for your beautiful sample, Sabrina!

Sabrina, your tag is so sweet with all the details. What a darling keepsake and great idea to include care instructions for your handmade knit blanket.
I’m crocheting a blanket for my future granddaughter and love your idea! Beautifully done and thanks for the inspiration.
