I love this size card, so much more room for creativity, and I intend to do this more often. I stamped the large stamp on a pre-made background, using a light acrylic paint over leftover alcohol ink on a Gelli plate, hence the little bit of blue on said background. I restamped the bird and popped him up. Triple cut the words, layered the top one a little off, put them on top of two feathers diecut from same background and then added two strips of that background at the bottom with an old Prima metal embellishment I had laying around, probably at least 10 years old. I edged several items with the Inca Gold, including the envelope.
This will be a 13th anniversary card in November for my daughter and her husband, yes, the ones who have a chaotic life. To add to the chaos, their 10 year old cat Tito probably has lung cancer. How do you all feel about a 7 and 5 year old witnessing the end at the vet? Daughter Liz says no, son in law Scott wants to ask them if they would want to do that. I say no, I don't think they will understand until they see it and then it's too late. I'd like some feedback, please.

Your card is gorgeous. Love the shabby chic feel here, and your matching envelope is beautiful.
Having recently put my fur baby down at 11 years old from liver cancer, I am all for the young ones present. As sad as it is, it's very peaceful, and pets do look around for family members. Very sad situation.

WOW awesome mixed media card Jean! I love the bg and the panel that your bird is one..that little cut out corner is great (need to remember that detail for future projects)....I LOVE the envelope...the whole thing is a winner! And Inka gold makes me happy
I guess my opinion on the cat is similar to yours...they're pretty young to be there and to make the decision to be there.

Wow! I'm in awe of what you've done with this tall card, Jean! So much creativity today!
*When I was 5, we had a dog-Lucky. Although he wasn't so lucky because he had to leave our family. We children were told that Lucky was going to live on a farm with an older lady who wanted to take him in. Years later the truth came out that he was being put to sleep, but my parents felt we were too young to be told the truth at that time. My siblings were 6 & 2. Thinking back on it, I know I would have been devastated if I'd known where he was really going that day.....

Awesome background and design! A beautiful anniversary card!
My vote is against them seeing their pet put to sleep. I can not bear it and I am adult. Just my opinion. But the parents have to make that decision.
