This card is for yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge. I got this done very late last night. Since I am still at the lake, I don't have many fruit stamps to choose from, but I bought this fun Cool Summer kit from Simon Says Stamp this summer. I loved the happy punny greetings in it and the fun images in the One Cool Pineapple set that came with it. I had to clean my desk off before I could start on this project. I also needed my acrylic blocks. A bunch of the blocks were sitting on my desk with ink on them from a variety of projects that I had been watercoloring. I hate wasting ink so I spritzed two of the blocks that had greens and yellows and blues on them and pulled some watercolor CS through them to create a background. While this was drying, I finished picking up and putting away my mess. I decided that the background would be a fun base for my pineapple image, but thought it needed some more yellow in it, so I added some Daffodil Delight ink to the mix. I stamped my pineapple on a seperat piece of watercolor card stock and colored it, then cut it out. I went through the other supples from the kit and picked out this pink paper to use with it for a punch of contrasting color. I liked these with the Green Galore card panel, but wanted to soften that a bit and add some interest, so I stamped the dots from Dragonfly Dreams in white craft ink. I added a puffy flower sticker (also from the kit) to pick up that pink color from the paper, added sun glasses and stamped a greeting. Before assembling, I splattered some DO Mowed Lawn ink onto the watercolor panel to pick up a bit more of the green color. I finished with some sequins.

Thanks for all that description, Kathy! And the result is One Cool Card! I love how everything is coordinated, from the colors to the tiny pink flower that picks up the color from the strip in the background. You've done a great job of depicting a casual and whimsical style. TFS!
