ABC10C2: we are on the letter C this week and the double challenge is climate. Does my card make you go brrrr?! My letter C items are clouds and Christmas.
I got this die and wanted to try it for this card. I definitely learned some things in the process that I hope will improve the next try. I did have some challenges getting the intricate bits to completely cut out.
I die cut both sides of the frame on the front panel (you can see the card partially open in the little inset). I then die cut the Christmas village scene on the front panel of the other piece being sure to line it up with the frame. Then I glued the two panels together (the two panels were 10 x 6 and scored in half).
I decided the village needed some color highlights so I used a q-tip to add color. I also sponged the snowflakes and clouds for contrast. I made a tiny gold bow tying it around a fork and then I was done.
Thanks for looking!

Oh Sis Cathrine this is absolutely gorgeous. I was thinking circle for C but is a circle man made or nature? I don’t know if I’m having a blonde moment again but I can see it as nature like in circle or cycle of life.

Using shimmer paper for your die cut panel really adds to the cold factor on this card- and beautifully so too! I love this wonderful city scene you have created within this beautiful die cut window. What a truly gorgeous Christmas card (complete with clouds) this is Catherine! ~Karen.
